Wyn Abbot is an author, researcher, podcaster, and speaker with a passion for ancestral beliefs, mythology and folklore, and how they have influenced and affected real life through history. She explores the rich tapestry of myths, legends, Gods and Goddesses, and sacred traditions from around the world, in particular ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome. She digs deep and brings together archaeology and mythological storytelling in an accessible and engaging way, from the shamans before written records, the powerful deities that shaped cosmic order, to the witch trials to current day.
Her research delves beyond the written word, seeking the truths hidden within symbols, dreams, and ancestral memory. Wyn is the creator of the best-selling Primordial Goddess Oracle Set. For many years Wyn produced beautiful, spiritual ceramic pieces which were sold all over the world. It was this time spent creating that was instrumental in shaping her artistry, weaving mythology and ancestral knowledge into each piece, a practice she continues through her evocative artwork today.
Before dedicating herself fully to the arts, Wyn worked in the NHS and spent many years teaching across Lancashire and Cumbria (in the UK). She played a key role in developing national resources on Dementia Care and mental health in older adults for the Department of Health, NHS and social care organisations. Wyn holds a degree in Social Care and an MA in Environmental Philosophy.
